Math for Gifted (Grade 3)

天才数学(3年级)

This class is designed for children ages 8 to 9 to strengthen their math skills. The class expands two semesters and includes:

  1. Addition and subtraction through 5 digits
  2. Multiplying through 3 digits by 2 digits
  3. Dividing 2 and 3 digits by 1 digit
  4. Introduction of fractions, decimals, and money
  5. Customary and metric measurements (length, perimeter, area, liquid volume, weight)
  6. Graphs (bar graph, line graph)
  7. Introduction to probability
  8. Basic concepts in geometry (line, plane figures, solid figures, parallel and perpendicular lines, ordered pairs on a coordinate plane)
  9. Preparing for algebra (number and geometric patterns, number sentences)

This class will be instructed in English.

Math for Gifted (Grade 4)

天才数学(4年级)

This class is designed for children ages 9 to 10 to strengthen their math skills. It emphasizes on the logical thinking and problem solving skills. The class expands two semesters and includes:

  1. Addition and subtraction through 6 digits
  2. Multiplying through 4 digits by 3 digits
  3. Dividing through 5 digits by 2 digit
  4. Fraction addition and subtraction
  5. Multiplying and dividing fractions
  6. Customary and metric measurements (length, perimeter, area, volume, liquid volume, weight, temperature, time)
  7. Graphs and probability
  8. Basic concepts in geometry
  9. Preparing for algebra (variables and variable expressions)

This class will be instructed in English.

Math for Gifted (Grade 5)

天才数学(5年级)

This class is designed for children ages 10 to 11 to strengthen their math skills. It emphasizes on the logical thinking and problem solving skills. The class expands two semesters and includes:

  1. Addition and subtraction through 6 digits
  2. Multiplying and dividing whole numbers
  3. Fraction addition and subtraction
  4. Multiplying and dividing fractions
  5. Adding and subtracting decimals
  6. Multiplying and dividing decimals
  7. Percent
  8. Customary and metric measurements
  9. Probability and statistics
  10. Basic concepts in geometry
  11. Preparing for algebra (Order of operations, Number properties, Integers)

This class will be instructed in English.
